I dont mind either way how many teams we use for playoffs but 8 just seems wierd only 2 teams wont make playoffs. Made we should have 6 with top team from each division having a bye.

that was my original suggestion but it didn't go down too well with anyone else.

Top 3 in each division with a bye and then 4/5 battle one game winner takes all for the last spot?

let's just g with 4 teams in each division, the first series will be best of 5, the second two will be best of 7.

I'm actually starting to think that maybe we should go with either 3 from each division, or 2. Having 4 teams from each division almost eliminates the purpose of having the season, especially if you get a team in each division that is terrible right out of the gate. The last few weeks of the season could be very boring with the system we have now...

I say top 3, with a round robin first round for each division, top 2 teams in the round robin play in the conference final and the winners move up to the cup finals.

Round Robin is a great idea, except I think it would be best to do a double round robin.

You mean home/away or double home/away?

1 home game and 1 away team against each team for a total of 4 games for each team.
